And I thought the girl was being difficult for no reason. Crabby, waking up earlier than usual, not falling asleep easily, these were some of the challenges we were having with little Claire-bee for over a week. We couldn't put her down, or I should say, when Kyle was around, Claire wouldn't let him put her down (princess is a daddy's girl through and through). She is fine when it's just me but when we are both here, she wants da. Someone was always trying to keep her happy.
What could be bothering her? Since we just went to see the doctor, I actually ruled out the crab inducing cause--teething. Dr. Schmandt inspected C's mouth on the 1st and said there was no sign of any teeth so I just forgot about it. Maybe the excessive drooling and chewing on everything should have been a tip-off but for whatever reason, I didn't give it much thought. Anyway, I guess a week makes a difference because on Sunday, I randomly decided to give her gums a little feel, lo and behold, a scratchy little tooth poking through on the bottom. Hooray for Claire! Her first tooth beginning to appear!
Random Claire tidbits:
Did I mention how well this girl is eating? She enjoys tasting whatever we give her.
Tonight was the first night Claire actually balanced herself while standing. I didn't think she'd do it since she'd normally just plop right down onto her butt if we encouraged her to stand. She also took some steps while holding my hands and that, too is something she generally doesn't do.

Poor Claire. Teething is so hard on these little ones. Noah is going through it heavily right now too. His shirts have been soaked recently from all the drool.
Great pictures!
